Where did Themistocles go?

My apologies for neglecting my blog. I'm busy with work, outside projects and playing an addictive video game called Harvest Moon: Tree of Tranquility (don't ask). But don't worry! I've also been gearing up to share another part of my Themistocles novel with you. In it a young Themis is introduced to the trireme, the warship that will help him win the Battle of Salamis in 480 BCE. Stay tuned!

Gotta watch out for those addictive games:) But I've got a good topic for you...have you ever read Aeschylus' play "The Persians"? I think it's actually inspired by a firsthand account of watching the battle. Just an idea:)

I have a copy of the play in my stack of books on Greece and Persia actually. It was indeed a first-hand account (with a creative spin) of the battle. Thanks for the suggestion I should do a blog post about it! :D
