Greece Highlight Reel Part 3

Where's Hadrian's Arch? I ought to know, but he seems to have built things just about everywhere!
ReplyDeleteThe arch is smack in the middle of downtown Athens. You can't tell but it's on the edge of a busy street. It's just sort of...there! I also have a picture of his library which is on the other side of the Acropolis. I saw his statue in the museum in Olympia too. He seemed to be all over Athens!
ReplyDeleteA statue of Aphrodite! Wow! That's astonishingly beautiful. It's good that you are allowed to take pictures of statues, vases, etc. at museums in Greek. It's not allowed here at many museums.

Hadrian deified and had several excellent statues made (one is in the museum at Delphi).
